Shrimad Bhagwat Katha
Seven Days of Divine Wisdom and Spiritual Celebration
Gauri Shankar Mandir is honored to host the sacred Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, a seven-day spiritual journey presented by the revered Pujya Shri Akhil Ji Maharaj. The Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapurana is considered one of the most important scriptures in Sanatan Dharma and contains timeless teachings on devotion, righteousness, and the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna.
The Bhagwat Katha is much more than a religious discourse; it is a transformative experience that nurtures spiritual growth and strengthens faith. Through inspiring narratives and profound teachings, devotees gain a deeper understanding of dharma, karma, devotion, and the eternal relationship between the soul and the Divine.
During the seven-day program, Pujya Shri Akhil Ji Maharaj will beautifully narrate the stories of Lord Krishna's life, the teachings of saints and sages, and the significance of surrendering to God through devotion and service.
The Katha will be held from July 26 to August 1, 2026, at Gauri Shankar Mandir in Brampton.
Program timings include:
- Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- Monday to Friday: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Each session will include devotional singing, scriptural discourse, and opportunities for devotees to participate in prayers and community worship.
The teachings of the Bhagwat encourage compassion, truthfulness, humility, and service to humanity. The event provides an opportunity for devotees to reconnect with these values while strengthening their spiritual journey.
Families, youth, and seniors are all encouraged to attend this sacred gathering and experience the uplifting power of Bhagwat Katha.
Daily Prasad will be served following the program.
