In Hindu cosmology, the act of creation, protection, and destruction are equally vital for maintaining balance in the universe. And the holy trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva are responsible for these stages that are common to both this world and mankind.
Rudrabhishek means worshipping the “Rudra”. Shiv Rudrabhishek is a supreme ritual and is considered one of the purest in Hinduism. Our ancestors absorbed the ancient chants from their surroundings and through the puja, returns the energy to nature, the source of all our evils as well as our good.
Shringar is another way of praying to Lord Shiva. The ceremony, performed every evening, helps attain peace and happiness and Moksha which is the ultimate liberation from the cycles of birth and death.
The Rituals as A Vedic Way of Life
Sanatana Dharma is not just a dry school of thoughts and rules; it is a way envisioned by our elders to live in this world with a feeling of oneness. The core idea of these ceremonies goes well beyond paying obeisance to the supreme being; they signify that even at his most dangerous, Lord Shiva can guide and help you fight all the evils that reside within you and surround you. It also helps you grow spiritually by getting rid of your past sins and rewards you with good Karma.
And at Shri Gauri Shankar Mandir, we hope to follow in the footsteps of our elders and do our bit in spreading the message of love, peace and solidarity.
